342 Series BREATHING AIR QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS
The 342 series is the most commonly used Breathing air series in New Zealand, it features a zinc-plated steel/brass construction with a locking sleeve made of hardened zinc-plated steel.
CEJN's breathing air range consists of couplings and nipples, hose, hose kits and accessories. The Series offers a wide range of connections, as well as anti-hose whip nipples. The automatic safety-locking feature prevents unintentional disconnection.

STAGE 2 - At the same time pull back the locking ring of coupling to disconnect. This Safety Feature gives the user the confidence and the
assurance that there will be no accidental disconnection.

Section 8.3.4 states:
All Connectors and Couplings on air-line respirator systems should be designed so that it is not possible to connect a low pressure (near atmospheric breathing tube directly to a higher pressure part of the circuit, with out passing through a regulator. All air-line connectors shall be of a 'safety type", ie. requiring at least two deliberate actions to separate the connector or coupling.
